Led by seniors Devin Koob and Zach Bond who earned medalist and runner-up medalist honors, the Huskies boys golf team topped New Hampton by five strokes. The meet held Friday, April 15th at the Nashua Town and Country Club saw the NP boys post their best team score of the season with a 167 total to out-distance New Hampton’s 172. Clarksville only had two golfers so they did not figure into the team scoring.
On his way to capturing medalist honors, Koob posted a one-over par 36. The only blemish on his card was a bogey at the tough par 3 eighth hole. Bond, in posting his runner-up medalist score of 40, overcame a rough couple of holes in the middle of his round and bounced back with a closing birdie on the final hole. Those two, along with brothers Dillon and Devin Auchstetter who posted their lowest competitive rounds of their careers with a 44 and 47 respectively, helped the team to the title.
